Transitions
Sound Installation
Collaboration with the Jewelry Artists - Dana Hakim Bercovitch
Transitions installation relies on the principle of radio signal interference. In this case the antenna of the radio receiver oscillates in space, which creates a change and disturbances in the reception of the radio waves transmitted by various radio transmitters surrounding it. The interference translates into a fragmented and mixed sound heard from the transmitters. The sounds heard from the radio transmitters are sounds of goldsmithing - cutting with tin numbers, and embroidery - which are interrupted by a pendulum antenna. The original collaboration turns Hakim Bercovitch's jewel into an ongoing show of material, sound and movement.
